Our Management Team
In 1982 shortly after Kris returned from living in Italy, her mother, Alma Kirkland, convinced Kris to join her in selling real estate. Since then, Ms. Conrad has been successfully involved in multiple areas of the real estate re-sale industry. Kris and her mother opened an independent office, Boardwalk Properties in 1986. At Boardwalk, Kris sold real estate and managed 45 agents until they merged with another local company in 1994. After the merger, Kris developed a very successful Corporate Relocation Department and also created and implemented a rather impressive training program for new agents which has yielded many of the best producing agents in the Long Beach area.
In the late 1990’s, Kris cut back on sales and built on her success in management and training. She and Phil Jones, another of the CBCA partners, left the company where they were working to start their own Coldwell Banker office in Los Alamitos. Then, in 2001 they joined forces with a third partner, Steve Murphy, uniting their Los Alamitos office with his in Belmont Shore. Today, Kris prides herself on managing and overseeing the # 1 real estate company in the area by offering first rate training, mentoring and support for all of her agents. In her current role she enjoys managing and working with the agents. She also enjoys working with past clients and referrals, as well as selling real estate with her husband Robert Lukowski.
Kris’s tenure in the real estate industry also has included stints serving on several boards and committees as Director of the Long Beach Area Board of Realtors, as Chairman of the Pacific West Association of the Realtor’s Grievance Committee, and as a member of the Multiple Listing Service committee, the Professional Standards committee and Financial Committee. Kris is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, the Pacific West Association of Realtors and also is a Certified Real Estate Specialist.
Phil Jones, managing partner for Coldwell Banker Coastal Alliance, got into Real Estate at the urging of his father who had been after him to invest since he was 18. Phil, however, went to UC Davis to study Economics. He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. When he returned from Vietnam, his father had invested in a property with Phil’s hazardous duty pay, leading to his entry into real estate. He obtained his Real Estate License in 1968.
Phil has been working in the Long Beach market since 1989 and is one of the owners of CBCA, Long Beach’s #1 Real Estate agency. CBCA consistently ranks as one of Coldwell Banker’s top firms Internationally and is the #1 Coldwell Banker Affiliate Office in California. Since Phil made Long Beach his home, he has been President of the Long Beach Board of Realtors in 1993 and a Director from 1991 to 1995. He is a Director of the Pacific West Association of Realtors, the largest local association in California. He is the currently the organization’s Vice President and served as it’s President in 2010. Phil was appointed to CAR’s prestigious Strategic Planning Committee from 1995 to 1996 and is currently serving on the committee through 2015. He was also a Regional Chairman in 2012. He currently serves as both a Director of the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He is a member of NAR’s President’s Circle.
Phil is also involved in several charitable activities aside from his managing partner duties. He has been on the Board of Directors for Easter Seals raising thousands of dollars for research and was Chairman of their 24-Hour Relay. Phil is currently active in the Fisher House fundraising efforts as well. He is married to Jeannie Weiss-Jones, a top-producing agent at CBCA. Collectively they have five children ranging in age from 22-44. The Jones’ live in Long Beach.
